Insel Hotel - Cologne

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station. The room wasnice and neat, and I loved that the reception is open 24 hours. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also a great value!

We liked it so will be back. The hotel is exceptionally clean with caring staff members.

Low cost hotel in a nice area next to metro and train. A huge variety of options for breakfast including coffee, tea, breads, jam, and cheese. A flat-screen television, a seating area, and a study table available in the twin room. Absolutely perfect location for my purposes.

Dusty carpets were quite noticeable, which may affect allergy sufferers. Breakfast was a highlight with plenty of fresh options, and the hotel's proximity to public transport made getting around Cologne very easy.

It's close to Lanxess Arena. Nice room at the backside of the hotel.

spacious and excellent room with comfortable beds, nice bathroom, air conditioning. good and excellent location, only 15 minutes walk from the center.

Everything was perfect, magnificent location short walk to the Messe, old town, station and kolnmesse and restaurants, excellent staff. King room with air conditioning, comfortable beds accommodated us perfectly. Hotel's breakfast was excellent, included coffee, tea, slices of fresh bread, jam, and cheese. We greatly enjoyed this staying...

The breakfast buffet impressed me. Fresh honeycomb and a juicer for fresh orange juice stood out. The room felt cosy and clean with a lovely view, ideal for business near Messe/Deutz. Staff were very helpful at all times. Location was prime, just a short walk from the Köln/Deutz train station. The bed was too soft for comfort. It created awkward sleeping positions. Room lighting was lacking. No overhead lights. I wouldn't stay in a single room again due to its small size and cramped shower. The carpet could be replaced, especially for those with allergies. I would consider returning, but the room setup needs a rethink.

Everything was ok,the staff was very helpful,kind and friendly...this hotel is very close to Lanxess arena,and just 1 stop by S-bahn to Cologne Cathedral. Recommend it!

It is really close to the fare.

Room was super tiny. Cleaning lady swiches off the heating so it was cold every night. Internet did not work.

The room was well-maintained and surprisingly comfortable, making it a pleasant stay despite the occasional noise from the cleaning crew. The hotel is conveniently located near public transport, enabling easy travel to the Cologne central station. The lack of slippers and some dated amenities could be improved.

The reception staff was very helpful and they could communicate in a few languages, very pleasant and professional. The room was small but comfortable with everything I needed in it. Internet was available as promised when I booked.

Staff at the reception was very good. The hotel is clean and well supported. Breakfast was ok. Location was ok for my trip - very close to Otoplatz 1.

There is no mini bar. At the breakfast serving personal was too loud - they just moving some kitchen staff and making big noise. Average hotel little overpriced. I have paid for one day stay 90 euro. For this hotel about 75 euro is ok.

cozy room but lacking amenities

The room was surprisingly cosy and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed the charming city view from my window. The location is superb for anyone with business near Messe.

The lack of basic amenities diminished the overall experience.
